About the Project

I am currently authoring a book on career development for Machine Learning Engineers. To ensure the advice is grounded in reality, I am looking to interview experienced recruiters and hiring managers to share their industry insights.

I am looking to speak with professionals who have recruited, hired, or interviewed Machine Learning Engineers at organizations of any size—from startups to Big Tech to enterprise companies.

What We Will Discuss

During our interviews, we will cover topics such as:

  • What makes an MLE candidate truly stand out?
  • Which skills do candidates spend time learning that they should actually skip?
  • What are the absolute non-negotiables for an MLE resume?
  • What separates a strong portfolio/project from a forgettable one?
  • How can candidates perform better in technical and behavioral interviews?
  • What do hiring teams *really* look for when evaluating MLE talent?

Commitment & Compensation

  • Time Commitment: Approximately 1 to 2 hours of remote interviews conducted over the next couple of months.
  • Compensation: Paid for your time (please state your expected hourly consulting rate).
  • Perks: You will be formally credited in the published book for your contributions.
