AI/ML Engineer, Mid

The Opportunity

Design and implement effective AI solution architecture utilizing approaches of various AI technologies and met hods to address Marine Corps operational needs. Apply advanced technical expertise and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and supervise team members, as needed. Contribute to the direction of critical solutions by applying best-fit ML algorithms and technologies. Help your clients navigate the landscape of ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks.

You Have

• Experience with AI, data science, ML engineering, sof tware engineering, data research, or data analytics
• Experience with sof tware development or engineering, including in an academic or professional environment
• Experience with a programming language, including Python, C#, or Java
• Ability to create solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
• Knowledge of big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks
• Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats, and support the project team to scale, monitor, and operate data platforms
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have

• Experience with generative and agentic AI technologies such as LLMs, MCP, LangChain, or LangGraph
• Experience with embedded systems programming in C, C++, or Rus t
• Ability to develop and maintain scalable data stores that supply big data in forms needed for business analysis
• Ability to create sof tware for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data
• Master’s degree
