Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Scientist will provide data analytics for the afloat network system design. This effort will enhance the Navy's networking capabilities by ensuring reliable and secure connectivity, streamlining support processes, and facilitating the transition to an enterprise network capability.

The candidate will develop data models to evaluate and provide network engineering, cybersecurity support, and technical support services for existing and future network capabilities. Systems supported include: FORCEnet, Airborne Wide Area Network (AWAN), E-2 Engineering Support, Airborne Network Global Information Grid (GIG) Interface (ANGI), and other airborne networking systems and in developing advanced efforts.

Candidate will provide strategic networking guidance, conduct long-term assessment of future technologies and techniques for incorporation into operational weapon systems, and facilitate the development of a common, flexible, standardized network architecture that is reliable, easily upgradable, reconfigurable, and maintainable to facilitate rapid implementation.

This position is located in San Diego, CA.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, or Computer Science* Minimum 5 years of experience developing, analyzing, or deploying data-driven solutions * Minimum 5+ years’ experience with machine learning or AI enabled systems. * Experience with data analysis, visualization, or decision support tools * Experience with Python or similar programming languages * Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git) * Must be a US citizen * Must have an active Secret Clearance
