Duties

• Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
• Constructs, tests, and maintains data architectures such as databases and large-scale processing systems.
• Builds and manages data pipelines to enable the efficient collection, storage, and processing of large datasets.
• Ensures that data is accessible and in a usable format for analysis, supporting data-driven decision-making.
• Combines, analyzes, and interprets large and/or complex data sets to develop data-driven organizational solutions.
• Conducts data extraction by using computer programing without preset specifications.
• Develops statistical software and computer programs to perform analysis of statistical data and findings.
• Perform analyses of business requirements and user needs. Collaborate with subject-matter experts to develop statistical and data analytics. Formulate and implement hypotheses and methods to address key challenges.
• Serve as a technical expert in data science, operations research, master data management, and data analytics. Apply analytical, statistical, mathematical, and econometric methods to advise on outcomes of proposed actions.
• For supervisory positions, you will perform a full range of supervisory duties, which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.
