We're a fast-scaling performance marketing group running large-scale lead generation across education, finance, insurance, and consumer services. We buy media at volume, test aggressively, and treat data and creative as a single loop. We're building a modern, in-house buying team where AI isn't a side experiment. It's part of how the team works every day. As we expand into new verticals and markets, we're looking for buyers who can own results end to end and who genuinely want to operate with AI in the loop.
The Role
We're hiring a native-led Media Buyer to own campaigns on Taboola and Outbrain at scale, with real range into paid search and paid social. You'll run daily optimisation against hard KPIs (CPL, lead quality, ROAS, CTR, volume) while orchestrating AI tools. Connected analytics, browser agents, and purpose-built workflows, as a daily co-pilot. You'll keep a human hand on every spend decision and a sharp eye on compliance in an advertorial, lead-gen context.
What You'll Do
- Plan, launch, optimise, and scale native campaigns on Taboola and Outbrain, owning performance from creative through funnel to lead quality.
- Extend the same discipline into paid search (Google Ads) and paid social (Meta), with cohesive messaging and tracking across channels.
- Build and manage lead-gen funnels advertorial/pre-sell pages, multi-step flows, and direct-submit funnels across our verticals.
- Run daily optimisation cycles: decide what to scale, pause, or test based on CPL, lead quality, ROAS, CTR, and volume not vanity metrics.
- Drive high-tempo experimentation across creatives, headlines, images, angles, placements, landing pages, audiences, and funnels.
- Write and direct high-converting headlines, angles, and advertorial copy (with support from creative and AI workflows).
- Analyse performance with GA4 and tag-based tracking, spot trends early, and make proactive calls backed by data.
- Stay current on platform changes, native trends, and compliance requirements for advertorial and lead-gen advertising in regulated verticals.
- Collaborate with design, dev, PM, and other buyers to ship winning funnels quickly.
How We Work With AI
This is the part that makes the role different. We expect you to orchestrate AI as a daily co-pilot, not to treat it as a novelty. Concretely:
- MCP-connected analytics and platforms. You'll work with Claude connected directly to ad platforms and analytics (e.g. Google Ads, Meta, GA4) via Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectors to query live performance, surface insights, and pull reporting in seconds instead of building it by hand. Where appropriate, you can execute changes, keyword negations, budget shifts, status changes, through governed, human-in-the-loop workflows where you review and approve before anything affects spend.
- Claude in the browser (Claude in Chrome). You'll use a browser-operating agent to navigate platform UIs (Taboola, Outbrain, Ads Manager), make bulk edits, QA funnels and landing pages, and carry out repetitive daily optimisation tasks, with you supervising and confirming the actions.
- Agentic workflows. You'll collaborate with and supervise purpose-built agents, search-term and negation analysis, anomaly detection, landing-page review, reporting, rather than doing all of it manually. Part of the job is knowing when an agent is the right tool and when human judgment has to take over.
- LLMs in-workflow. Copy, headline, and angle ideation; advertorial drafting; compliance QA passes; and performance analysis, all as a normal part of your day.
The bar isn't "has used ChatGPT." It's: you can design good prompts, critically review AI output (and catch when it's wrong), and keep a human in the loop on every spend decision. AI accelerates you; it doesn't make the call.
What We're Looking For Core media-buying experience (must-haves)
- Proven native advertising experience — Taboola and/or Outbrain strongly preferred (open to comparable native platforms).
- ~4–7 years in performance marketing with a track record of scaling lead-gen campaigns against ROI/CPA goals.
- Cross-channel competence beyond native: hands-on with Google Ads and/or Meta.
- Strong analytical foundation, comfortable in GA4 and tag-based tracking, with the data instincts to decide when to scale, pause, or test.
- Experience with lead-gen funnels: advertorials/pre-sell pages, multi-step and direct-submit flows.
- A data-driven owner who's comfortable in a fast-moving, high-test-volume environment.
- Fluent English; able to work U.S. business hours (EST overlap).
AI fluency (must-haves and positive signals)
- Must-have: Daily, practical use of LLMs in a real marketing workflow and the judgment to review and correct their output.
- Must-have: Comfort operating in a human-in-the-loop model, you understand why spend decisions need a person to approve them.
- Positive signal: Hands-on experience with MCP connectors or AI tools connected directly to ad platforms/analytics.
- Positive signal: Experience with browser-operating agents (e.g. Claude in Chrome) or similar for platform tasks and QA.
- Positive signal: Having built or supervised agentic workflows (search-term/negation analysis, anomaly detection, reporting).
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in additional verticals: finance, insurance, consumer services (EDU lead gen a plus).
- Automation tooling: Make.com, n8n, or similar.
- Google Ads / Meta certifications.
- Familiarity with compliance considerations in regulated advertising.
