Legal AI Adoption Counsel

About the Role

We're hiring a Legal AI Adoption Counsel to drive the responsible, practical use of generative AI across a national law firm's practices. This role sits within the Client & Innovation function, partnering with attorneys, practice leaders, IT, professional development, training, research, marketing, and business development teams to turn AI strategy into real workflows and measurable value for attorneys and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of firm-approved generative AI platforms across practice groups
• Partner with attorneys and business leaders to identify practical AI use cases
• Develop implementation strategies that improve legal workflows
• Support and help scale AI pilot programs
• Design and deliver in-person/virtual training sessions
• Create playbooks, best practice guides, checklists, FAQs, and workflow documentation
• Evaluate new legal AI technologies and vendor solutions
• Monitor adoption metrics, user feedback, and business impact
• Promote responsible AI governance, confidentiality, and compliance with firm policy

Must-Have Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Hands-on experience using legal generative AI tools
• Experience in one or more of: Legal Innovation, Knowledge Management, Legal Operations, Practice Management, Legal Technology, or Professional Development
• Strong understanding of law firm operations, matter management, staffing, and billing
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive adoption without direct authority
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Collaborative, client-focused mindset

Pay: $165,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
