Functional Associate (AI Focus)

Job Description

NetImpact Strategies is seeking a Functional Associate (AI Focus) to join our delivery team supporting Federal clients. This role works closely with Functional Leads, Technical Architects, Product Managers, and software developers to help translate business needs into functional requirements for AI-enabled modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience gathering requirements, documenting business processes, supporting Agile delivery teams, and working with AI-assisted development tools. They are naturally curious, organized, collaborative, and eager to learn emerging AI technologies while helping deliver innovative solutions for Federal customers.Key Responsibilities ------------------------

• Support requirements gathering sessions with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Document functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business process flows.
• Assist Functional Leads with backlog management and Agile ceremonies.
• Work closely with developers, architects, and QA to clarify requirements and support implementation.
• Help configure and validate AI-enabled business workflows and application functionality.
• Assist with process mapping, workflow analysis, and documentation.
• Participate in solution demonstrations, sprint reviews, and customer meetings.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test planning, and issue resolution.
• Develop functional documentation, user guides, and training materials.
• Use AI tools to improve documentation quality, analysis, and productivity.
• Continuously learn new technologies, AI capabilities, and Federal business processes.

Qualifications: Required* Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). * 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role. * Experience gathering and documenting business requirements. * F...
