Duties

----------

As a Data Scientist, you will perform the following duties

  • Serve as a senior member supporting the design and development of data engineering, applied Artificial Intelligence(AI)/Machine Learning(ML), and hybrid cloud infrastructure to ensure access to secure, integrated data platforms for advanced analytics. Develop and propose new solutions and conduct research resulting in concepts demonstrating the automation of workflows.
  • Develop integrated workflows to increase efficiency of processing and preparing data for research projects. Utilize data science languages and computational frameworks to analyze field-collected fisheries data.
  • Lead the coordination with National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) partners to navigate cloud provisioning, software approval, and data transfer processes within federal computing governance framework. Present technical research and results across a variety of forums, including national working groups, program reviews, and peer-reviewed publications or conference proceedings.
