Job Description
A well-capitalized, YC-backed startup modernizing how critical assets are bought and sold across America’s essential industries is looking for an Account Executive to join their team. The hiring company is modernizing how used specialized equipment gets bought and sold — think eBay for fire trucks. Their platform automates the entire transaction: discovery, payments, freight, paperwork, warranty, and financing. What once took months of phone calls and paperwork now takes minutes.
Backed by Y Combinator and other VCs, having raised millions in Series A funding, they have expanded to all 50 states and grown revenue immensely last year.
Contract
- Employment Type: Full-time. 100% remote with Travel Requirements
- Base Salary: $93,000 – $118,000 USD.
- OTE: $175,000 – $225,000 USD
- Uncapped commission + Equity
- Location: Remote — must be based in Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, Miami, Northern California, Houston, or Austin.

What you’ll do
Own the full sales cycle from sourcing and discovery to close, while helping build the operational foundation that will scale the Go-to-Market team across new categories and markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Sales: Own the full sales cycle from sourcing and discovery to closing high-impact deals.
- New Logo Generation: Identify and close new logos that fuel marketplace growth.
- Customer Engagement: Engage directly with customers in person to understand their needs and deliver impact.
- Problem Solving: Understand customer challenges and uncover opportunities to solve them.
- Sales Operations: Partner with the sales leader to streamline processes and drive operational efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with the business development team to close pipeline and accelerate deal velocity.
Mandatory Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a full-cycle, closing-focused role at an early-stage, venture-backed startup (including outbound prospecting).
- Track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas and driving measurable growth.
- Based in Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, Miami, Northern California, Houston, or Austin (100% remote with Travel Requirements)
- Willingness to travel to meet with customers in person.
- Ownership mentality and entrepreneurial mindset — you move fast and take initiative.
- Competitive and driven to win.
- Resilient and tenacious — always pushing to uncover and win new business opportunities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate value propositions effectively.
